When to book a sitter photoshoot
Sitter sessions commonly suit babies from roughly five or six months to around ten months, but ability matters more than a precise age. Your baby should be able to sit comfortably, with support if needed, without being held in a position they are not ready for.
When you enquire, tell me your baby’s age and whether they sit independently, use their hands for balance or still need support. I can then plan a session that suits their current stage.
More movement, expression and personality
Compared with a younger-baby session, sitter photography has a more active rhythm. We can work with smiles, serious expressions, clapping, reaching, favourite toys and the small gestures your family recognises.
The session can include individual baby portraits and relaxed photographs with parents or siblings. There is time for feeds, cuddles and breaks.
The sitter setup comes to your home
I bring professional lighting, backdrops, selected outfits and suitable props to your home. A clear, warm working area, access to power and close parking make it easier to bring the equipment in and keep the session moving.
Please mention stairs, lifts, permits, restricted parking or a long walk from the car before the day. Your home does not need to look like a studio and the photographs do not depend on bright natural light.
What to prepare
Have your baby rested and fed as well as their normal routine allows. Keep one or two familiar toys nearby and choose any meaningful outfit you would like photographed. I will also bring selected clothing and styling options.
Avoid planning around a performance. Some babies are quiet with a new person and others are immediately playful. Both can produce a personal collection.
Sitter photography packages from £400
Choose £400 for 10 edited photographs, £500 for 25 or £600 for 40. A £100 booking fee secures the session and is deducted from the final package price.
Send your baby’s age, what they can currently do, your postcode, possible dates and the package you are considering. WhatsApp is the quickest way to check availability.
